How do I get started?
Getting started with OrthoDent is very easy. You can see a step by step guide on how to create an account, access and use your user dashboard and how to post jobs and the process for booking and paying temporary professionals from our How It Works tab.
Is OrthoDent Staffing Solutions Free?
Signing up for either a doctor account or a professional account is 100% free. You only pay when you use the services available on the site.
- Doctors will pay a permanent job posting fee of $50 for a 10 day job post and $25 to repost the same job for an additional 10 days. Doctors will also pay a 5% booking fee when booking a temporary professional.
- Professionals will receive 75% of the total booking cost.
The fees charged to both the doctor and professional cover:
- The use of the OrthoDent Staffing Solutions platform to find new permanent and temporary staffing solutions for your practice and for a safe and secure place for professionals to offer their services.
- OrthoDent Staffing Solutions support system dedicated to making your experience exceptional.
- OrthoDent Staffing Solutions marketing and social media to bring new doctors and professionals to the site.
- OrthoDent Staffing Solutions network of job training and educational partners.
How do I pay for a temporary professional and when?
You do not pay for the temporary professional until you have confirmed the booking. The process to confirm a booking takes 3 steps.
1. Doctor makes a booking request to a professional.
2. The professional accepts the booking request.
3. Doctor confirms the booking request and pays for the booking. If a Doctor does not confirm the booking request within 24 hours the request is cancelled and the Doctor's work and feedback profile records this as a cancelled job.
Only after these 3 steps have been completed are you charged for the booking. When you pay for the booking you are paying for the entire cost of the professional plus a 5% booking fee. These funds are held by OrthoDent Staffing Solutions until the job has been successfully completed by both the doctor and the professional through the user dashboards.
Important: Booking and paying through OrthoDent Staffing Solutions is required per our Terms of Use. Do not pay directly by cash or check, this could expose you to fraud and you will become directly responsible for the employment responsibilities of the professional and directly responsible for IRS tax liabilities of the professional.
As a Doctor, can I cancel a booking and receive a refund?
A booking may be cancelled by the doctor prior to the start of the job. In the case of a cancellation your feedback score will be affected as a cancellation will be a negative impact on your score. However there are times when cancelling is necessary and any refund due will be based on the cancellation policy agreed to in the Terms of Use. If the cancellation includes a refund you can expect to see that refund back to the original form of payment within 3 business days.
What if the professional cancels the booking?
If there is an instance that the professional needs to cancel a booking the doctor will be entitled to a full refund. In addition a cancellation by the professional will result in a negative impact on their Work History and Feedback. As a doctor review any cancellation history by a potential professional before booking to hopefully avoid this situation.
How do I get paid for temporary work completed and when?
While doctors are charged at the time of booking, OrthoDent Staffing Solutions will hold those funds until the job has been completed by both the professional and the doctor through their account dashboards, which includes leaving a rating and feedback regarding your experience. You will see your payment ready in your wallet as soon as the job has been completed by both parties and the funds will be transferred to your connected Stripe account and recorded in the transactions section of your account dashboard within 24 hours.

How do taxes work?
OrthoDent Staffing Solutions is not a tax advisor and cannot provide advice about taxes, income reporting, or unemployment.
You will receive payments from Stripe, and therefore you won’t receive any tax documentation from OrthoDent Staffing Solutions. Since Stripe distributes these funds to you they are responsible for handling tax documentation in accordance with their own tax reporting policies.

What if I don’t meet the requirements to receive a 1099?
The fact that your payments do not reach the minimum requirements for receiving a 1099 does not relive you of your obligation to report and pay taxes for income received. We encourage you to consult with a tax advisor to better understand your requirements.
Do I need to submit a W-9?
You do not need to submit a W-9 to OrthoDent Staffing Solutions. This is because OrthoDent does not handle tax documentation for payments made via Stripe. If you have tax-related questions regarding earnings processed on Stripe, please consult a tax expert or contact Stripe directly.
What is Stripe Payment Processing?
Stripe is the payment processing platform that OrthoDent Staffing Solutions uses to process payments from Doctors and to professionals for work performed. Stripe is a very safe and secure payment processing application. You can read more about Stripe and how it compares to other payment processing companies you can check out this article.
How long does it take to withdraw my money from Stripe?
Stripe controls the payout schedule to your bank account. For more information on Stripe’s payout schedule, check out this article.
Where can I see my total earnings?
Total earnings can be viewed in several locations.
- From your account dashboard in the transactions section you can view all completed transactions that have been processed.
- From your Stripe account you will be able to view the total earnings that have been processed and distributed to you through Stripe.
I am unable to search for jobs or find staffing?
If you are having problems viewing jobs or available staff there are several possible reasons that this may be happening.
- You are not logged in to your account. You must be logged in to your account to view any information about job postings or staff. This is for the protection of users that have gone through the process of creating accounts and providing their information for the purpose of joining a community of Dental and Orthodontic doctors and professionals looking for staffing solutions that fit their work and life needs.
- There are no jobs or professionals available in the area you are searching. It is possible that you are a pioneer in your area and word about OrthoDent has not taken hold. Keep in mind OrthoDent a new platform and is growing rapidly. You can create a profile and that will keep you informed of when additional doctors and professionals in your area get onboard. OrthoDent is a large network of doctors and professionals and as we grow the pool of available doctors and professionals will grow too.
What if a Professional marks a temporary job as complete but did not actually complete the job?
While the hope and intent of OrthoDent Staffing Solutions marketplace is to connect honest Doctors to honest Professionals who desire to connect their services for the good of the Orthodontic and Dental community, unfortunately there are times when that is not the case. If a situation arises where a temporary job has been confirmed and the Professional does not show up to complete the job, however decides to mark that job as complete in their Temp Jobs dashboard there is a process for resolution by the Doctor.
The Doctor can mark the job as “Dispute”. Please Note: A dispute must be logged within 24 hours of the Professional having marked the Job as complete. After 24 hours the funds will be released to the Professional and the doctor gives up any opportunity to dispute. Please see the Terms of Use for more information regarding disputes.
Once the job is marked as “Dispute” the funds will be held until a determination is made by OrthoDent Staffing Solutions. A “Dispute” will initiate an email to OrthoDent, the Doctor and the Professional with a reason for the dispute. OrthoDent will gather the necessary information to resolve the dispute and either refund the Job to the Doctor or release the funds to the Professional.
If it is determined that a Professional has acted immorally they will be immediately and permanently banned from using the OrthoDent Staffing Solutions marketplace.
What if Doctor cancels a temporary job that has been completed?
While the hope and intent of OrthoDent Staffing Solutions marketplace is to connect honest Doctors to honest Professionals who desire to connect their services for the good of the Orthodontic and Dental community, unfortunately there are times when that is not the case. If the situation arises where a Doctor has cancelled a temporary job that has actually been completed there is a process for resolution by the Professional.
The Professional can mark the job as “Dispute”. Please Note: A dispute must be logged within 24 hours of the Doctor having marked the job as cancelled. After 24 hours the funds will be refunded to the Doctor and the professional gives up any opportunity to dispute. Please see the Terms of Use for more information regarding disputes.
Once the job is marked as “Dispute” the funds will be held until a determination is made by OrthoDent Staffing Solutions. A “Dispute” will initiate an email to OrthoDent, the Doctor and the Professional with a reason for the dispute. If it is determined that the Doctor acted immorally they will be immediately and permanently banned from using the OrthoDent Staffing Solutions marketplace.
Why is the cancel button available after the requested dates for a temporary job have passed?
The cancel buttons are available after a requested date for a temporary job has passed because there will be situations beyond the control of either party that the work was not completed. For these instances there is the opportunity for the parties to cancel the job even after the requested dates have passed.
In the event that either party cancels the booking but the job was actually completed either party has the ability to dispute the status of the job. Please Note: A dispute must be logged within 24 hours of a job being cancelled. Please see the Terms of Use for more information regarding disputes.
A dispute that has found any purposefully deceitful or fraudulent behavior on either party will result in the user being immediately and permanently banned from using the OrthoDent Staffing Solutions marketplace.
